About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Social Media Blogger to lead Codecraftstem's content presence across digital platforms. This is a senior role for a seasoned content professional who understands how to grow an audience, drive organic traffic, and translate complex STEM topics into content that resonates with students, parents, educators, and tech professionals. You will own our blog, social media channels, and newsletter strategy — writing, scheduling, and analysing content that positions Codecraftstem as the leading voice in STEM education across Africa. You will also collaborate with instructors and subject-matter experts to produce thought leadership content that builds credibility and drives course enrolments.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute Codecraftstem's content calendar across the blog, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, and YouTube
• Write long-form SEO-optimised blog articles (3–4 per week) on STEM education, career development, technology trends, and learning strategies
• Produce short-form social content including captions, threads, carousels, and reels scripts
• Write and manage the weekly Codecraftstem email newsletter
• Develop and maintain a content strategy that grows organic reach and drives course enrolments
• Monitor and report on content performance using Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and LinkedIn Analytics
• Collaborate with the graphic design team to produce visually compelling content
• Interview instructors and students to surface success stories and course insights
• Stay current with trends in EdTech, STEM, and digital content

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in content writing, blogging, or social media management
• Exceptional written English with a clear, engaging, and adaptable voice
• Proven track record of growing an audience and driving measurable content results
• Deep understanding of SEO best practices and keyword strategy
• Experience using analytics tools to measure and iterate on content performance
• Strong grasp of social media platform algorithms and best practices
• Ability to write accurately and compellingly about technical and STEM topics
• Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp or similar)
• Portfolio of published articles, blog posts, or social media campaigns

Nice to Have

• Background or degree in a STEM field, Journalism, or Communications
• Experience creating video content or scripting YouTube videos
• Familiarity with WordPress or a similar CMS
• Existing following or network in the African tech or education community
• Experience with paid social advertising (Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads)
