About the Role

Codecraftstem is looking for an energetic and people-first Community Manager to build, grow, and nurture our learner community. As the primary human connection between Codecraftstem and its students, you will be responsible for creating a vibrant, welcoming, and supportive environment where learners feel seen, heard, and motivated to achieve their goals. You will manage our Discord server, WhatsApp communities, and social media engagement channels, respond to learner questions and concerns, plan online and in-person community events, and collaborate closely with the product and content teams to surface learner insights that drive platform improvements. This role is perfect for someone who genuinely loves people, understands the power of community in the learning journey, and has the initiative and creativity to build something meaningful from the ground up.

Responsibilities
  • Own and moderate the Codecraftstem Discord server, WhatsApp groups, and community forums
  • Respond to learner questions, feedback, and support requests within a 2-hour SLA during business hours
  • Plan and host weekly virtual events — study halls, AMAs with instructors, live Q&A sessions, and peer learning circles
  • Organise quarterly in-person community meetups and networking events in Accra
  • Identify, recognise, and empower community champions and top learners
  • Collect and synthesise community feedback and relay actionable insights to the product and curriculum teams
  • Track community health metrics — active members, engagement rate, retention, and event attendance
  • Collaborate with the content team to create student spotlights and success stories
  • Manage onboarding communications for new learners to drive early engagement
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in community management, customer success, or a people-facing role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience managing online communities (Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, or similar)
  • Strong empathy and the ability to handle difficult conversations with grace
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple ongoing initiatives
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Passion for education, technology, and youth development
  • Comfortable working some evenings and weekends for community events
Nice to Have
  • Experience in EdTech, SaaS, or an online learning environment
  • Familiarity with community platforms (Circle, Mighty Networks, Slack)
  • Data-driven mindset with experience tracking community KPIs
  • Experience planning and executing virtual and in-person events
  • Basic knowledge of CRM tools (Intercom, HubSpot, or similar)
