About the Role

Codecraftstem is expanding its community learning programmes and we are looking for passionate and skilled Community Instructors to deliver hands-on STEM education to students in schools, community centres, and online cohorts across Ghana. As a Community Instructor, you will facilitate structured workshops, after-school coding clubs, and live online classes in areas such as Python programming, web development, robotics, data science, and digital skills. You will work directly with learners aged 10–25, helping them build real-world skills and a genuine passion for technology. This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling, ideal for educators, recent graduates, or working professionals who are passionate about giving back to their communities through technology education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, project-based STEM lessons to students aged 10–25 in community settings, partner schools, and online
• Facilitate weekly coding clubs, workshops, or bootcamp sessions (8–16 hours/week)
• Adapt curriculum materials to suit different learner levels and contexts
• Track student progress and provide constructive, encouraging feedback
• Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
• Collaborate with the curriculum team to continuously improve learning materials
• Communicate regularly with parents and school coordinators on student progress
• Represent Codecraftstem professionally in all community engagements

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Education, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Solid working knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
• Prior experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or facilitating workshops
• Genuine passion for STEM education and youth empowerment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to beginners
• Reliable internet connection for online sessions
• Willingness to travel to partner locations within Greater Accra

Nice to Have

• Experience with robotics kits (Arduino, micro:bit, LEGO Mindstorms)
• Familiarity with the Codecraftstem platform
• Experience working with underserved or rural communities
• Knowledge of additional STEM subjects (Mathematics, Electronics, AI)
